This is our working method
1. Market Research
The first step in our process is to create an overview of the dog breeding landscape in a specific city or region. We research and analyze online information about existing breeders, reviewing the services they offer and assessing the characteristics of each facility based on available reviews and feedback found online.
2. Pre-selection
Based on the information gathered, we carry out a comparative study and shortlist the breeders we consider to be the most professional, ethical, and offering the best range of services. This allows us to build a filtered database of dog, cat, and ferret breeding centers in each region or geographic area of Spain.
3. Visit to the Centers
Next, we arrange visits to the facilities of the shortlisted centers that are interested in undergoing our certification test. This allows us to personally inspect the conditions in which the animals are bred, the care they receive, and the professional qualifications of the breeders.
4. Evaluation
After the visit, we assess the breeders based on the criteria established for the aspects we consider most important: health control, selective breeding, transparency of information, hygienic conditions, quality and size of the facilities, nutrition and specialized care, early socialization of the animals, among others. This allows us to rate the breeding centers.
5. Certification
If the breeder’s rating exceeds the minimum score required based on our quality standards, we certify the center as a recommended breeder by Top Pet Breeders. This is how we award our quality seal to those centers that put in the most effort and dedication to ensuring the health, comfort, and sustainable and responsible sale of pets.
6. Recommendation
The next step is to make a breeder recommendation on our website, detailing their characteristics, the animals and breeds available for sale, their services, advantages, conditions, and contact information. These recommendations are made rigorously and transparently, based on what was observed during the visit to the facility and the information verified on-site.
